Sounds good meeting up. I will take some bumper pictures when I get home this weekend.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

Thought I would add some different shots of the truck based on some requests I have received. I hope you like them.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

Raised 3/4 of an inch so the differential won't hit when all the way down.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

This the normal ride height. I drove it all the way back to Houston from The Dallas good guys show (6 hours) at this height with no issues.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

Do you have a picture from the side that shows it at ride height?

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

I just found this thread. We must have spent an hour checking your truck out in the hotel parking lot last March. Very nice ride you have here.

Are you bringing it again at the end of the month? I'll have the Blazer there, if you see me before I see you, come introduce yourself.

Thank you so much for the nice words and compliment. I do the same thing when I see one that catches my eye. I can just stare at it and walk around getting ideas and appreciating the build efforts that went into it.

To give credit where credit is due, Matt Lowrie was the builder. He is on this forum and had a build thread on this truck. I saw it at 90% finished in the good guys corral a year before and snapped it up. Matt finished it for me and I have been tweeking on it ever since.

We will be at good guys this month but won't be bringing the farm truck up as we have already done that. We are silly and get a picture of whatever we bring by the people that take them when you come in. My wife has the big framed pics in her office at work and the guys there love looking at those. We will be there with either her 54 pickup or a 72 suburban we are trying to sell. We will be staying at the Hampton inn just down the interstate from the show and I would like to find you and visit. Your blazer looks great in the pictures and I would like to see it in person. We lived in Madisonville for 5 years and I met some great people from Louisiana!

Here are pics of what we will most likely bring up to the show.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

Or the one we are trying to sell. Look for us and I will look for you. I know you are friends with a few others over in Louisiana and maybe you can introduce me to some of them if they come.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

The build thread was called Lowrie 69 shop truck. Check it out to see how much work Matt put into this gem.

Re: Wow, what a surprise!

There will be a group of about 7 or 8 of us from Louisiana that will be there. We will be staying at the Marriot right across from the track. I will be looking out for you.

We will probably be around one of these trucks and of course my Blazer. Yeah, I know the last one is a F@rd, but it RUNS, and we are working on him.
