Re: A Friendly Gift Opens Lots of Options

Wow, I wish I had that stroke of luck. I've been wanting a 67-72 K20 for awhile.

dont really intend to hot rod it, ill build the apache for that, or something else. but i will however probly use it as the tow rig.

now regarding the cablights mentioned in the other posts, i was under the assumption that as long as u have a decent rubber grommet under the light then water shouldnt be an issue?

if 68's came with cab lights, would it be listed on the SPID? my step dad has a 68 c10 camper special with c/l's but i dont see any designation on the SPID for camper special, or cablights or even the w/c mirrors.

this is my stepdads SPID, im still DYING to check out the SPID on the GMC

Re: A Friendly Gift Opens Lots of Options

speaking of the apache...

so i went out to the guy's farm land today to check out the vehicles (im going to be helping his wife get them all listed for sale soon) and im not sure what to do... SO MANY VEHICLES TO CHOOSE FROM!!! they only had pics of 3 or 4 of the 60+ plus vehicles theyre selling, and of the pics i came kind of partial to a 58 apache, and i made a deal with the guy of working of one of the vehicles... after going out, i was in HEAVEN! i kept having to wipe the drool away from from my chin!

now i dont know if i want to make a deal on 1 of the 3 apache's, or a 57 chevy truck, or a 55/56? chevy truck... theres lots of 47-53 chevy's but i like the 55-59 body's more

so far im torn between a 57 3100 and an 58 apache... decisions, decisions....

First thing I would do is throw away the west coast/trailer towing/hay bail hauling mirrors.
Then get her washed up and running, then go driving for awhile.

Remember. If you get any of the 55, 56 or 57's or even the 48-53 trucks, they have more resale value if you end up with too many trucks at the house.
If it were me... I would go for the best of the 55, 56 or 57's

unfortunatly i didnt get to look at em all that much... we drove in his truck round the pasture, and only got out to look at the 58 i had seen in pics... the 58 was pretty rough shape, and im not sure on the condition of the others.

should be headin back in the next couple days to jot down info from all the ones for sale, ill be able to get a better look... it was just too damn cold today to do anything with the blowing wind from the cold front that just swung thru
