Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
I fought with the same decision your trying to make. I ended up going with 20's but now wish I went with 22's or at least in the rear. My next set for sure will be 22's. I say if you have 22's in your head at all you might as well pull the trigger on them, if not you will probably regret it like I do.
Also in my opinion I don't think you need to be bagged to pull off 22's. Look at Hectors, you can't tell me his truck doesn't look ridiculous. A nice 4.5/6 or even a 5/7 drop and your good to go. Here's a pic of mine with the 20's.

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
20x10 Zero offset. I like the larger sidewalls with the 20's (275x45x20) All around. Mine's on bags so I can change the stance.

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
i had a decent looking lip on my 20's with a 5.5 backspace but like mentioned before you can narrow rear end some to give you more backspace which allows more lip you also have to consider a rolled/soft lip vs step lip which a rolled/soft looks deeper in IMO. iam guessing with a 70 you have a 6 lug truck which also means not many wheels are out there with a deep backspace unless you go custom but then again i could be wrong.

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
Thank you! I have a small C notch to install on mine. Plan on doing a 4/6 static drop or close to that. Beautiful truck. Love both your wheel choices. Sorry for the hijack on thread.

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
Ive narrowed it down to 20's because I know they will give me the look im goin for with the 4 6 drop thats already on the truck. Now I need to find out what works and what doesnt as far as extra modification and fitment. saw a thread that says the 338's have some fitment issues in the front? I really like the 338, coy, torque thrust 2 look alot, especially with a nice deep lip in the rear. wouldnt you know I see a pic of some 20's that I fell in love with, and they wound up being billet specialties hiboys which are a pretty penny lol cant afford them but something to look forward too maybe

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
also, my truck has a 4 6 drop, but the back sits a little higher than the front, and I want to get it to sit totally flat, like Original-71's truck. how do i get the back of the truck down a little?

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
You can add a drop block to the rear to bring it down some. I'm pretty sure you can get them anywhere from 1/2" to 2". You can get the 338's to fit with some grinding of the hubs but if your looking for a big lip in the rear the 338's won't really get what you want. The Coys do have a nice lip and but their customer service is left to be desired. The TT II's are a classic for a reason, they look awesome on everything and you can order them in any backspacing you want. Just another option Billet Specialties makes a wheel called the Mag. They look similar to TT II's but have a rolled lip instead of a step lip. They are priced cheaper then Billets because they have a cast center. I included a pic of the Mag. Good luck with the search.

FYI, I have the new 338s, and they fixed that problem. That is what is on my truck now. See above pics

20x8.5/20x10. If I went 22 I'd have to lay frame, for my own personal preference.

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
I don't. I should have done one while I built it, but never did. Thank you for the complement tho! Right now she is in the garage with a blown wheel bearing, awaiting a set of bigger brakes and modular spindles. It completely trashed the spindle, and rotor when it went, and I'm lucky I didn't have the wheel come off in the process. So if I have to replace stuff, may as we'll go big right?

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
I'm so untechnically savvy, I copy and pasted the picture but all that appeared was the link. Can someone explain how to do that.
Thanks, wade |

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
The 22's look great 69lsxc10, nice stance.. What size tires are you running? I've been tossing around which way to go myself (22's or 24's). The 22's look great but not too many wide rear tire sizes and the 24's when tucked correctly can't be beat. It's hard not to stare at rwade's truck and not drool... Lol

Re: tryin to decide...20's or 22's
use2bnlp - nice stance on your truck also, are you bagged or static dropped? Also looks like you chopped one down from long to short. Awesome job.
