Is it worth it? Monetarily, not even close. As a personal challenge, heck yes! Gotta ask yourself if that is what you want to do though. When you are done, you will have a ton of time, effort, and probably a fair amount of money wrapped up in a 3/4 ton longbed, which if you haven't noticed, won't bring a big number at market.
Not trying to be a wet blanket here, just make sure you want this particular project before getting going. There's still lots of other trucks with far less rot around.

Be careful asking for peoples opinion on here it might be mistaken and people will think you are trying to sell it and will remove the post....Just a word of advice

Nice gift, It all depends on your plans for it, skills at metal work and patience. If you go for it, great, if not, part it out. I see at least a $1000.00 in hard to find parts.

With all the nice options it has,I would definitely restore that truck. That aluminum '63 grill is another hard to find item.
