I agree that you shouldn't have to. Worst case, I don't see the need for a spacer more than say 1/4". The reason that I recommend the '67-'72 small block frame brackets is that they fit the '60-'62 frames quite nicely. Much better than the '63-'66 or '67-'72 230/250 I6 brackets.

So if I'm reading all this correctly, it breaks down like this:
'60-'62 Frame w/ Original torsion bar crossmember: factory '67-'72 small block mounts, bolt-on, no spacers needed. '60-'62 Frame w/ Later '63-up coil spring crossmember: '67-'72 small block mounts, require spacer blocks between top of frame and engine mount stand. Is that correct?

I can only speak for my own truck, and I needed the spacers both for the original crossmember and again when I swapped in the 1973 front suspension.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm still searching for that other motor mount, but might just buy some new ones, although, I don't think anyone makes a new set do they?
