Re: Let me see your stance!!!

3 1/2 5 static thinking im gonna go down 1 more inch front and back, just waiting for all the body parts to be installed. After almost 2 years frame off she's coming home this week. By the way that's a 406 all roller with a 200 shot 11.1. Think I need bigger tires?

Man, what a beauty!

Dumb question: Did you use the wheel spacers to fill out the wheel wells? Or was there some other reason, backspacing?

Thanks! -Ed

Appreciate it Ed.

I added the spacers because I didn't like the look of the rear tires being in tighter than the front. Just a visual thing. It does fill up the wheel wells also.

I've read that a lot of guys don't like using spacers, but I have had good luck with them. And, I don't plan on abusing this truck and putting a ton of stress on the drivetrain.

Hey Steve,
Is that bed storage door something you fabricated? or was that an option? Never seen that before.

It's really called a " Tool & Storage Box " as seen on my original SPID, below.

Type in " Toolbox or Tool Box " in the search bar at the top of the page and you'll see a lot of threads about them.

There aren't many left in rust-free condition . . . mine was restored three years ago.

Don't know what Wheel Displacement is. In a boat it's the volume of water displaced by the hull when the boat is at rated load. But this definitely isn't a boat!
Yea i bet it does haul ash!Ha ha
Dropping the suspension and going up in wheel and tire size to 17's with 60 series sidewalls brings the hood and doors up to what might be a stock ride height but the tires will fill the wheel wells instead of the "truck on stilts" stock look. If you don't know these trucks and you don't know much about stockers you might just think that the truck is all show and no go....until I mash the gas. This baby goes, and I don't need nitrous.
I bet it does gooooooo!
