Re: 1964 C10 build
It was raining last night so I decided to work on the gauge cluster. The 2 big holes were too small for the speedo and tach, so I had to hand grind them out. Thats 3 hrs of my life i will never get back. But they look good.

I finally got my cab back. Looks great. Still need to work on the dash and firewall before I mount it. Christmas vacation project.

Re: 1964 C10 build
It started out as a factory color but modified to match faded color on the side of the truck. I haven't buffed any of the old color yet, but will before I clear it with a satin clear. Cant have it lookin too shiny now !

Re: 1964 C10 build
So was this stance accomplished with just the 2.5 drop spindles in front and 4 inch drop springs in the rear? I love it! Who supplied the lowering parts?

Re: 1964 C10 build
I also cut 1 1/2 coils off the front springs.and added 1 inch spacers in the rear. I think the front might be too low,( due to someone cutting too much off the springs, just can't find good help these days) and will have to replace the springs AGAIN!!

Re: 1964 C10 build
So I got the holes welded up in the dash and cab area that I wanted. And OBW, that brown primer was some I had in an aerosol can. Didn't work worth a crud. had to scrape and sand it all back off. That sucked

Re: 1964 C10 build
Now I understand why paint work is so expensive. the material is higher than Camel C#*k and thats way up there. Ans if you make the smallest mistake, its just sit and wait for paint to dry. What an Ass Whoopin
