Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
I understand that. If I decided to do any cutting on a glovebox, I might as well just do it to mine even though I have 14 other ones. Sometimes you just got to do what you got do to get what you want is how I look at it. I can always use one of my other 4 chevy's I have to go all original if later I decide all custom is not for me. I'm sure I'll get to that point once I'm out of my 20's lol

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Excellent work so far. I like the glove box idea a lot. Great job with the cowl I know that would be a very intimidating fix for me

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Looking real good Mike! I also really like that glove box mod. Too bad there aren't GMC script valve covers that I could use on mine

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Thank you for the compliment. I am trying too think of something that has GMC stamped into it. If I think of something I will let you know.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Today I worked on the frame where the exhaust will run through. The truck is only lowered 2 in but I want to have less bends in the exhaust around the rear suspension and I did hit the exhaust on the ground quite a bit where it dipped down to go under the center cross member.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
My free radiator core support had a few holes in it. Here is my repair.

Looks good. What did you use to make the cuts?

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
The cuts in the frame or core support? For the frame a hole saw on my drill and for the core support a cut off wheel on a angle grinder.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Only had a little bit of time to work on the truck today. I finished welding my trailing arms and started fitting the fuel tank.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
I worked on the fuel tank upper brackets last night and they are finished. I am really happy how the fuel tank set up is coming. I plan to paint the frame on Friday if its not to cold.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Just took advantage of Classic Industries 25% off for Christmas and placed a order. I was going to order a grill but even with 25% of it is less to order it from summit as the shipping is so much less at summit.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Just about ready to continue on the truck and just found out I will be moving to Italy for work in 6 months and will be there for 2-3 years. Now I have to figure out how and where to store it.

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Ouch that's gotta put a damper in your plans, you will have to store both trucks and the car? I take it you rent and not own the house your in?

Re: The "Green Trucks" rebuild
Own the house. Will sell it and will be putting it on the market soon. Going to loan the c20 to my father in law and place the corvette and c10 in storage. I think I am going to have to reassemble the c10 to transport it.
