Re: Value help 1969 c10
If it's not too far from you then I'd still go look at it and report back, but I think he's asking wayyy too much. My comment about the $5-$6k was for this model only if it's clean with no rust and runs good. Others obviously disagree but that's fine. If it's rough then it's worth about half that.
Your cj looks pretty good, again hard to tell from the picture. I'd probably pass on this deal. But by all means go look at it if you want. Look on craigslist and ebay for reference on what these trucks are selling for in their various conditions

Re: Value help 1969 c10
You know, I really love this forum. It's full of knowledgeable nice people for the most part. Occasionally you come across know it alls that cruise the board looking to correct people, make people look bad and have dipstick measuring competitions. That's the part I don't like with this forum.
To the original poster, I say if you really want to then go look at the truck. It's not over paying if you are happy with the price. That being said nobody wants to see someone get duped. According to some people the truck is garbage and worth next to nothing. Ive given my opinion. I basically said this model truck is worth between $2500+ if it's rust free and running solid depending on condition. If it's not rust free and not running good then it's probably worth less. I have nothing left to say. I'm going to hop onto another more positive thread. Apparently I'm drunk and on crack.

I don't see the asking price or even close. Lots of stuff has been done seems like. there's always another deal down the road, In the end it's your money and choice.

Re: Value help 1969 c10
I just looked at the Dallas craigslist ads and there are dozens of 67-72's for less money and you might want to check some of the ads before chasing this one that in mho is way over priced ? Also use searchtempest.com to search all the craigslist ads at one time you may find one less expensive ? it's worth a look .
