If you are a user who had At&t set up everything for you and are using DHCP with their DNS you wouldn't see the problem.
You mind doing a look up for me as I did in the pic? Just curious if you get the same result. I work in IT and its very common for IT people to use Googles DNS servers for everything, its never failed but as you can see, using Googles 8.8.8.8 hasn't worked since craigslist was hacked earlier this week. I'm sure there are other little ISP's all over though that still have bad sites cached and that's why some people are having flakey issues.

Re: What up with Craigslist?

i'm sorry I don't know how to do what you want me to do as I am not very knowledgable on the computer

I do know that for a day or so last week it was out and all I got was a blank screen for craigslist but after about a day and a half it fixed itself up to like old times

Re: What up with Craigslist?

It's been fine for me the past couple days. I use Firefox as my browser. I do now have freakin' adware infections again that started yesterday. Could that be related? So far, just on Craigslist. This computer is a couple months old. I got screwed by McKafee because I didn't buy their product. I use Avast. I had thought I had downloaded it twice and apparently McKafee blocked it both times as malware. I guess they consider the competition malicious. So when their free trial expired I was left unprotected and adware...along with zillions of cleanup offers bombarded my computer. I ended up having to buy Avast's most expensive service to have them clean it up on 11/21. It's a one year subscription and it looks like I'm ready to have them do it again. I get pop-ups everytime I get on this computer from McKafee saying I'm unprotected, as if avast doesn't exist. I will never buy McKafee's services. They suck! I had to deal with their pop-ups throughout the whole time I owned my last computer and I had Avast the whole time (and no issues)

Re: What up with Craigslist?

Yeah, Microsoft and McKafee are in bed with each other. Now I'm getting pop-ups saying my free trial is expiring. Really? Didn't it expire last month?? That's what they said last month. Avast is free or you can pay for various features and cleaning. McKafee is only pay or pay. They'll never get a dime out of me. After that post above I got off my computer. then realized I left out that my internet is Comcast. I couldn't get online ,a proxy server was blocking me. It was time to call Avast to set it straight again! I was going to a friend's who knows more about computers, so I brought it along, and he did know enough to fix me up. I hope this lasts.
Craigslist seems fine still

Well ,,Craigs List is working now ,,but it's been awhile since I tried selling on it ,,and boy did I get introduced to 6 people trying to beat me out of money this last month..

I have been trying to sell a 4 post bed and new mattress and box springs that the wifes' sister had and I have been bombarded with texts to me so much It isn't even worth the time to advertise any more using Craigs List..

Here is 2 examples to share with all of you to be aware of ,,, of what I am getting on my phone over and over ,

1-I like you to remove the post as am sure buying from you ,I will issue a certified bank check from my account and once you get the check and it clears your bank ,I will engage the services of a shipper fro pickup in your address ,,so text me your name and address to issue the check to you '

2-alright my method of payment is via cashier's check and when it clears I have a moving agent that will handle pick up agreed?

annoying to say the least..

Larry,

I always add this to the bottom of all my c-list ads. "Cash only, at time of pickup.. I don't need any help selling my stuff, and Scammers save your time and mine, I know all of your tricks"

I very seldom get any scam calls or e-mails.... Feel free to copy and paste it into your next ad to see if it makes a difference...

I sold another car via Craigslist last month. How simple are the instructions "CASH ONLY. NO DELIVERY." to understand?

Apparently very difficult, because out of all of the attempted scams, only one person understood what it meant.

Re: What up with Craigslist?

I always put cash only too. And i don't include a phone number. I only get contacted thru email . Believe it or not I get less scams and this isn't just on small stuff I sold my Fifth wheel for 30k last spring and didn't get a scam.
I just sold my oem Ram 2500 wheels and tires for $ 850 and not one scam attempt. I wish I had 10 sets there sure was a bunch of interest.
When selling a vehicle I put your form of payment must be o.k'ed by my bank as they hold title , even if they don't hold title it stops scam attempts.
