Thanks northern. We are very proud of it. We will for sure get a lot of use out of it in the future.

Here is a link to the build thread on the camaro. Its a 73 Z28, all numbers matching orig car. The orig color is Medium metallic orange, and will be going back with that color.

Re: My "Toys" House

Great looking car. Thanks for sharing the pics and the build link.

I had a 73 Camaro for a year in high school. I got rid of it because someone tried to steal it – twice!

I bought another 73 in 1984 and re-built it from the ground up and only lacked final paint when my wife and I decided to sell it for a down payment on a home. Never got back into cars like before and never had any regrets.

It wasn’t until my youngest son saw some old photos and asked if we could do something together. We found his truck in January 2012 and that’s when I got sucked back in.

When we get finished with this latest round of construction on the shop my oldest son and I will be working on my (eventually his - he doesn't know) 72 GMC. Should be a blast.

I hear ya. It's taken more time than I thought to really work on my toys. The 64 is being built on such a tight budget. I hope that it all works out the way I put it on paper.

Guys I cannot stress this enough. I swept, and mopped that shop floor probably 10-12 times over 3 days before I painted it. The last time I mopped it, the water was just as clean in the bucket after I was done. This is the most critical step. DO NOT get in a hurry on this step
