I'm thinking of having mine gone through as well. Local shop has a good price if I pull it and bring it in.

Re: Project... Tired of not having a daily driver!

Well,
I couldn't leave well enough alone. I found a small sag on the bumper so I sanded it out and decided to hit the entire thing one more time to ensure there was no overspray dry marks and I ended up with a present the next morning.
If you look at the pics I guess the heated bumper cooled over night and the paint shrank causing what looks like wrinkle finish powder coating I guess. It must have been after I turned the heat off (30 minutes later) and went inside. I am going to run the bumper as is thinking its going to grow on me.
It kind of looks like the Cadillac pearl white paint in the light due to all the "fake wrinkle finish".
Enjoy my mistakes... I meant pictures. LOL

Re: Project... Tired of not having a daily driver!

Mike just wait about 30 days for it to cure a bit color sand it and polish it... But with the patina of the truck it should fit in nicely like this...

Well here's a seek peek at the front end.
I'll post more tomorrow.
Check out the difference between the fenders.
Lots more work to do but it will pay off.
I need to clean the paint and rewax... This was a test hit!

Ill continue to strip and clean the grill tonight to get it ready for polishing and a coat of clearcoat.

Thanks Chip and Dan!
I'm trying to make up time on this when the cab issue forced a stall on the other projects.
Plus I really miss driving a cool truck. This is far from awesome but at least its mine and drivable.

Hey Tommy!
True and unfortunate at the same time. I like driving one daily and as many on here do I took it down before I had the motor so "Miss Advertised" is gonna wait a few months. It gives me time to get this one done and ready for spring.
Yell at me if your ever ahead of schedule when your headed home! I'll get you back on the right timeframe. lol

Re: Project... Tired of not having a daily driver!

Started on the hood!
It's not as nice as I was hoping for... I think I need some more work on it. I'm going to try another wax (the last number I think is 7). It needs more moisturizer! Lol there is still a few almost dry spots.
