Re: 68c10/c6
This is a fame shot of the right front transition from the 3x6 front to the 2x6 center section! I opted not to go 3x6 all the way to save weight.

I wanted mimic the factory frame on the C-6 so off the shelf coil overs could be used.

We're now doing one last complete final assembly before we tear it down for paint!

Nice! Looks packaged very well! Where do the A/C lines run into the cab?

I now have the dubious task of grafting the original Vette consol to the dash/Trans tunnel.

Re: 68c10/c6
Thanks AD! I'll post pics as I go. I'm trying to really use all the Vette parts as I can! With the exception of a few custom parts I want to be able to get parts from GM I mean they spent millions on R&D why reinvent the wheel!

Re: 68c10/c6
Nice job Jim! It's not easy finding a newer console to flow with the older dashes.

Re: 68c10/c6
You are so right, had to do a lot of modifications to make it look like it was made this way. Sorry to take up your thread but here's a couple shots of the finished product...Jim

Re: 68c10/c6
Wow beautiful work Jim! I like how the console flows. Is the truck done? Thank you Karl my objective with my build is to use every factory part I can! I have the vin# to the donor Vette so if you need a part your local dealer have it! I'm hoping to be able to do more of these to offer for sale!

Re: 68c10/c6
That truck looks really solid. Was it?
Do you shorten the bed or find another one? |

Re: 68c10/c6
Ya I prefer the buy the long beds & shorten them there's a ton of long beds here in California! I also have a guy here who has 40 plus 67-72 C10s and I horse trade with him a lot! He's got some nice patina long beds that I want to shorten. I like the old tin over the China stuff!
