Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

Typically there are companies in larger areas that do Title searches... you might see if you can find one of those companies...

Franken, both your posts are not nice. Why do you feel the need to be derogatory? This site is to help people solve problems.

x2 wth man? You'd miss your truck too if you had to sell it under those circumstances.

Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

LT102, I have a good idea how you're feeling, of all the vehicles in my past this is the one I want back, link below. By chance did you reload your computer harddrive or purchase a new drive? If you replaced it and kept the old harddrive the information is retrievable. MOST harddrive crashes involve just the OS only and the folders/files remain unharmed, just another avenue to pursue...

Good luck on your search...

Mike

Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

Good luck finding your truck! With enough searching it will turn up. I live in central Illinois, I'll keep an eye out. Anything specific you had done to the frame or interior that would remain even with a re-paint?

To the dude saying "grow a pair" seriously... that is un-called for, grow up.

Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

Found her and she is coming back to her home!!!!!

Found a sticky note with a name in paperwork in the basement from around the time I sold it. After time on the amazing World Wide Web I found an address and took a chance and sent him a letter. The same man whom I sold her to 10 years ago still had her. He was going to put it on Craig's List that night. Someone was looking down upon me. Can't wait to get her home.

Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

I know so many people with the same wish to find a long-gone truck or car and it's a good moment when someone finally has success on locating that special vehicle. Good for you LT102. Some days I wish I could find that old Chevelle...

Woo Hoo!!!

My wife tracked down my first truck (my 69 4x4 WS) that I sold when we got married. Surprised me on our 10th anniversarry. Same guy I sold it too still had it. I know the feeling man.. Celebrate!!!

And send us some happy pictures of you and the truck when you get it home.

Congrats once again.

Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

Awesome. We're going to need pics and details.

Back in 2006 I tracked down a 32' Ford my dad sold in 1965. I was able to buy it back. All I had was a name and the internet. It's a great feeling to do what you were just able to do.

Re: How to find a truck I (regretfully) sold

Went to get it last Sunday. Got it loaded on the trailer. Stopped for fuel. And, now it's safely back home in my barn. Still can't believe it's finally back home.
