Sorry, works been crazy so I haven't really been online. To give an update, I never put in the vortec 454, I did install the 454 out of the 88 crew cab dually. About two months after the install, I was on a snow wheeling trip when my remote oil cooler mount came loose. The cooler lines came in contact with the crank pulley, cut the line and dumped the oil... Long story short I ran the motor dry and killed it. Sucks because it only had 58k original miles on it.
That motor was replaced with a mild built 454, the truck is running great and I think I've worked out most of the bugs...

I also bobbed the bed by cutting 22" out of it and the frame
