heritage center a great ref. here's some more info from the sales brochures. just so you know, Cheyenne is 3rd of 4 trim levels.
Custom
Custom Deluxe
Cheyenne
Cheyenne Super
Differences outlined in Heritage link or in this sales brochure. Nice truck and welcome!

I've also got the Protect-O-Plate....? If that's what it is, is it common for these trucks to still have them with them?

not common, but it is a "nice-to-have" - not a requirement to prove authenticity, but is a bonus if you ever sell it. Kinda falls into the neat little thing category in my mind.

I contacted the original owner who bought the truck new and said he had the original Hub caps for the truck... Are they worth messing with to get them back if I was trying to restore back to original?

I would, it could save you a couple hundred bucks. Especially if they are a niceset.

Nice truck. You'll need that Protecto-Plate when you take it in for warranty work . Whoever put the clearance lamps on used the right ones but didn't space them right. No one seemed to notuce, so no big deal. But before I could even look for the raised mounts the spacing gave it away
