Re: 2 wd blaser not mine on ebay ITS SAD

For sure I agree with everyone on here that has made comments about this blazer. I also agree that he didn't think this blazer had much value.I wonder what the condition was when he bought the blazer 23 years ago.I feel by looking at the wheel wells that this blazer was kinda rough when he bought it and seen it as a project then, but I on the flip side wonder why would you let a highlander,2wd drive ac numbers matching(im guessing its numbers matching?) blazer sit out and rust even more.im wondering if it has documentation also.

I was watching this one just out of curiosity. Wow, $4,200!! I'm with 2003 silverado, has the price of blazers really gone up that much? I wonder if the seller thought they would get that much? I know if it were me I would be doing back flips all the way to the bank!

They are way over bidding. That guy is definitely doing back flips. Makes me wonder what my half ass resto would get.

It is a strong number and made me feel good about what I paid for mine. But it looks pretty complete (minus, tragically, the top...and console)...a lot of stuff like carpet strips and heat risers and trim strips and leveling mats...Things that we devour on here like piranhas for big bucks...so assuming the frame is not totally trashed...I know what it costs to completely rebuild a tub (unfortunately)...so he may still be OK. Mainly because these trucks have been undervalued relative to their contemporaries for a while...and they've got a lot to offer. I'm glad they appear to be going up now that I'm on the owners side, helps me justify that black hole that we're painting silver ...and you gotta admit that's a crazy truck 2WD, Highlander, ochre/green plaid, A/C, base gauge pack.

Re: 2 wd blaser not mine on ebay ITS SAD

I'm not saying it wouldn't have been a great buy. if not rotted and full of snow being winter, it was a awesome truck before he left it sit for all these years uncovered. Like i said, if someone has the time and money to rebuild it, it can be a really awesome truck again. I wouldn't pay more than 2 g's for a truck like that. I would rather pay more for a solid truck to begin with knowing now what I have done to mine and the work that has to go
Into it.

What about the original 2wd chassis? That alone is worth some cash, if in fact it is in decent shape.

Mine must be good for at least twice that since it runs and drives then. He just brought up the price curve.

Re: 2 wd blaser not mine on ebay ITS SAD

It went high for it's possible condition. Sitting like that for so long could mean anything as far as that frame & underside are concerned. But maybe the buyer has a solid 4x4 body to swap over & then just swap VINs. Wouldn't be the first time. If you have a solid drivetrain/body to swap on there & you're into it for not much, you then flip it to somebody willing to over pay for a project & the cycle continues lol Then you end up with guys asking $40-60gs for a blazer when there's still lots out there for $20gs all finished. Sell it in the highest market of course, back east etc.
