Re: 1963 Texas Time Travelin' Machine
Ok some updates guys. I bought some wheel vintiques rallye wheels for the back as I was going to have rubbing issues with the wheels that were on there. These babys are 15x10 with 5 inches of backspacing.
Went cruising around town this weekend and took some cool pics until my brakes went soft. I guess the old front brake hoses finally took all the abuse they could handle and started tearing. Had some custom ones made that are an inch longer than stock. Now I can lay out and have plenty of slack in the hose. |

Re: 1963 Texas Time Travelin' Machine
Haven't done much but I did get the oil filter off. The sucker was practically welded on. It ripped apart with my locking oil filter pliers and I ended up having to pull the header and use a dremel with a small cut off wheel to cut around the threaded part and eventually after 3 hours it was free!
I was so cautious putting the new oil filter on. I think It may loosen and fall off before getting stuck like that Getting a shop crane next weekend and pulling the bed off for the notch! |

Re: 1963 Texas Time Travelin' Machine
Some long overdue updates:
Pulled the bed for the notch and to raise the bed floor using Losthope's technique. Was going to make my own notch but ended up buying the CPP notch, You can't beat it for around 100 bucks! Bed back on and laid out. Next up is ditching the longtube headers for ram horns |
