Re: blueprint engines?
Vortec pro makes a screamin 496 pump gas motor. 700hp on 91. As for the 632 mentioned earlier. Everything you need to complete the engine like headers, oil pan and all the brackets and stuff are going to be custom and or more expensive than your standard bbc. I would stay with a traditional bbc block and stroke it to whatever you like. Just an opinion. Hell I only make around 650-700 and it's like ice skating when you nail it under 50mph. I'm all for overkill, but how often are you gonna be wot? 600ft/lbs will smoke a steamroller sized tire. 496 is more budget friendly I think. I wish you the best which ever route you take.
If I ever do another engine it will be a 496.

Re: blueprint engines?
Yes I have worked with Taylor at TRE and known him for years.. All I can say is this guy works harder than anyone I know to develop his stuff. I am serious he works real hard to get the results he wants. 20hour days are common to get something ready to test. New combo is 490 inch small block. 1 carb cast manifold makes 1000 h.p..has a 750h.p fogger kit. Saves a lot of weight over the big block stuff and makes close to the same power. He is a real smart guy and has a lot of work. If you call tell him I refered you.

A little update . Taylor dynoed a pump gas 540 last week that made right at 900 h.p. Not sure what you are interested in.

Re: blueprint engines?
Did you check out Shafiroff Engines website, he has some potent stuff as well and a real good reputation. Vortec Pro is also a very knowledgable builder, what are your goals, is this a street/strip. strickly street.?

Re: blueprint engines?
It's going to be 98% street. It's going to be a show truck. I found a local guy who is going to build me a big inch dart small block. Then I'm getting the banks twin turbo system and getting it installed at a local shop. I want the wow factor when that hood pops up

He is my dads friend in Sierra vista. He built a 350 for the 50 I drove in high school. I drove that thing like I stole it daily, revved the motor to redline 8-20 times daily... Never a problem. I'm not at the motor phase yet.
