Re: 60 apache fleetside

My parents live across the street from me were actually finishing painting the inner bed fenders and corner fillers thats why i parked it in front of my house to avoid over spray.

The 78 clip lines right up just gotta drill 4 holes pretty much bolt in upgrade. Strongly recommend it also used rear diff just welded in axles mounts and track bar bracket

72-87 will work and actually to be honest im sure you can take the spindles and bolt them on to your existing control arms unless its on a 60-62 because most had torsion bars

Re: 60 apache fleetside

Did you bolt a complete 73-87 crossmember to your 60 frame? I've got a 61 big window I'm wanting to do the same thing to and wondered how the holes from the crossmember lined up to the old frame?

Thanks, Wade

Yes complete front crossmember from a 79 chevy cheyenne with rear axle as well. Do it its simple only 4 holes to drill thats it

Re: 60 apache fleetside

Are the four hole for the upper control arm brackets to the side of the frame? Did you happen to notice if the 79 rear end was wider than the original one? Also what wheel sizes and backspaces are you using. Thanks again for the info.

don't remember which ones had to be drilled but once you bolt it up you will have the other holes as reference to drill. axle is pretty close not enough to make a big difference in my opinion, the rallys are just stock 15x8 but going to go with a 17" or 18" wheel after the truck is completed.
