Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
A little late, but does anyone see any reason why the carb I bought on eBay might not work?
I just matched the model number, saw that the seller has largely very good feedback and appears to be in the carburetor business. Anything it's missing I will need to get the truck going in original stock configuration, including the factory cruise control? |

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
Sure it'll work!!
You'll still need a long stud for the cruise to hook up. And hopefully you have the right intake for a choke stove. Do you have a better pic of the intake on the passenger side below the carb? |

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
The seller of the carb found this stud and said it was the correct part. I've ordered it too.
Couple of more pics of the passenger side exhause manifold and carb: |

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
Nice pics but we need to see right on the intake below the black cap on the choke.
It's possible you have a hot air choke manifold and not a divorced choke manifold. Your new carb may or may not work choke wise. |

I'm not exactly certain what you're requesting but I'll take a whole bunch of pics and post them up.

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
Looks like you have the pad for a choke stove. It's right between the two intake bolts.

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
From what I can see.
In this link post #5 shows a hot air choke and post #15 shows a divorced choke. Looks like yours has the divorced choke pad. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=585035 If your carb looks like the one in post #15 you should be good. |

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
I just had a thought.
Since the transmission isn't the TH400 that originally came with the truck, I wondering if the engine isn't the original 400. Where are the numbers I check, andwhat should they be? |

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
The engine code will be on a pad in front of the right head. Where the head sits on the deck of the block.
For you the engine should be: Light duty 3/4 is a TLS Heavy duty 3/4 is a TLM

Is the pad facing the firewall or the passenger side?

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
front of engine passenger side between the alternator and water pump. Nothing should need to be removed to see it, except grease.
If it is not one of the two I posted, post up the 3 letter code you find and I can see if I can narrow it down

Re: What carburetor came with my '77 K20 Camper Special?
Anyone know of a source for the diaphragm thing (I think it's called a servo) and the chain/cable drive for the Cruisematic system?

I believe this is the servo, fairly rare and pricey
