Re: Got my hands on some 8" steelies

That is a score in my book. It took me over a year to get my set. Picked them up 2 weeks ago, they guy who had them rusting in the field finally got into the selling mood. Here they are pictured with the centers I am going to run. My dad took the centers off a 85 K-10 when the truck was new.

They made them. I've got a set that I had on my Impala SS.

sometimes the earlier impalas with the heavy duty option-cop cars and taxis- had the 5 on 5- like a buick or truck, I wonder if his "bubble " style impala was that way too?

regardless that impala looks cool I like that look better than the alloy wheels that were on the SS's

They're 5X5. I never saw what they came off of, but I figure it was a '70s Chevy pickup/Suburban, something like that.

Re: Got my hands on some 8" steelies

I was going to order some from Wheel Vintiques. It is easy for me since my truck was converted to 5 lug. I am thinking of going with the no hub cap look with bullet lug bolts. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wvi-62-5805044 Summit racing. $347.88 for a set of 4. I have $60 summit dollars I am going to use. They are 15x8 5x5.
