Re: 1965 GMC fleetside - is it worth the price

That's a nice truck. Does look to have rot in the usual places though. I would offer about $3000 on that and no higher than $3500. He looks like he's wanting to rid of it so if you come at him with a "Hey, this is my offer...take it or leave it..no bull crap" attitude more than likely he'll sell it. lol People who have the "no more tire kickers" attitude are getting to the point where they want it gone. I did that with the guy I bought my 64 gmc from...his price was $650(darn cheap for how nice the rig is) and I had $500...he told me over the phone he just wanted it gone and when I asked if he could run it he laughed. lol Once I heard it run for the 1st time I knew why others passed on it...ran like crap...and I decided to take a chance....sounded like serious valve problems...but ended up only being two crossed plug wires at the distributor. Now I haul manure with it all the time without issues. She's a good runner. Only have like $90 into it total. Them 305 v6's are monsters. So back to my point....call him up...look at it....and if that's what you want...make an offer and make it final...if you do ANY adjusting...people will use that to their advantage. I'd offer 3K and stop there. Your gonna have rot to fix it looks like.
