I always planned on putting a kill switch in there if I ever moved my tank. It gives leaving the cap some kind of purpose.

Still have the tank in the cab on my '71 GMC & the Blazer has the filler hidden inside the L. side marker light.... I cuss it every time I put gas in it. Hafta jiggle the cap around just right to get it out of the hole. I think if I was doing one and didn't want to fart up the paint I'd leave the fill and buy a locking gas cap for it. Looks like there's a pretty good selection for our old trucks.
