I don't know if you mean the rear wheel P-Shop, but here it is.

Of course, it is only a cartoon. So who really knows how they'll fit with backspacing, tires size, etc.
Your memory of how they look when you "mounted" them is likely more accurate than my P-Shop fittment.

No matter. The truck is a beauty.

Re: New C10 Owner - Washington State - 1970 long bed build - Follow along!

All,

Refitted wheel on for a better look. I have 2 options. 1 is try and find wheels with 3.5" opening, or, realizing I have plenty of room in the back, simply fit a 12mm spacer onto the lugs and have the wheel sit 1/2" further out, flush, everything is happy. Except now studs are too short. So now i'll have to push the wheel studs off and go purchase longer 7/16-20 in. thread x 3" long studs vs. the 1.5" studs that come on the truck. Not 100% sure where i'll find the new longer studs. I've heard NAPA and some say online buy ARP.........

The truck is a beaut. Welcome from up north. Love them longbeds. Dirt bikes fit it and you can close the tailgate! Awesome truck.

Did you buy that truck from a cat named Dean? Truck looks very familiar.

Re: New C10 Owner - Washington State - 1970 long bed build - Follow along!

Hi all,

Well, I have an update, and hopefully can help others who have had the same issue. So here we go.

#1 - Wheels wouldn't fit. 3" center hole, 3.5" centering plate on rear hub.

#2 - Purchased 1/2" flat spacers off ebay, for rear. Great. Now rear fits, but doesn't have enough thread for the lugnuts.

#3 - Rear wheel well has much more room, even for a 275 wide tire, so I go back to ebay and purchase 1.5" aluminum spacers (which wrap around original lugs) and now I'm 1.5" out, and it worked fantastic. Front end has discs and power brakes, so no need to alter the front. Good to go, and now I can have the rear wheels out on the fenderwell area, but still keep all 4 corners the same tire size for tire rotations.

#4 - I took my $200 dollar Craigslist find 20's that came off of a 2000 Chevy Tahoe, "MB Bruisers" and I took them to Discount Tire. They wrapped them in 275/45/20 tires. And I was out the door for $638. So my wheels/tires/spacers were a grand total of 630+200+70 = $900. Not cheap, but 900 beats 1500-2500.

Neighbor kid, Mason, 15 years old and loves C10's. I let him drive with me in it, around the parking lot. I should add there is full left and right turning motion, no rubbing, no rubbing with holes or heavy bumps. 275/45/20 seems to be the ticket.

Next up. ditch the family name "squeaky."

Re: New C10 Owner - Washington State - 1970 long bed build - Follow along!

Head over to dads, and we start cleaning all the lubrication fittings on the trucks front end. Couldn't believe how many there were. Each joint took at least 3 full pumps of grease. Some took 5, 1 took 6. DRY!

We get done pumping this baby full of grease, including the steering pitman arm area, and we lower it down only to hear squeaky, say hello, once more... Drats.

Dad looks under the truck, I'm looking from inside the engine bay... and I see what looks to be a 90 degree joint covered in 30 years of gook. I wipe it down, and there she was. The upper upper upper suspension area that bolts to the frame near the left header. We pumped it full of grease, lowered it down and complete silence.

Fixed!

Next up. Replace rear shocks with proper drop shocks, and bed rubber mounts. After that I'll start aligning some panels before the dent pulling process starts.

Welcome neighbor. Looks like a fun build. My newest one is a 1970 K10 I picked up from a fellow member. Looking forward to following along on yours.
