Thanks LT1 ! That one in the pictures turned out to be a passenger car blade. If you look in the 67-72 parts section , 67 fans are the same for our AC trucks. That's where I was able to score one.

Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

So I was at a buddy of mine in Canada and he is into 32,33 fords. I was checking out his garage and I see this out of place chevy fan hanging off the rafters. So I now have it but what are the chances, Canada been good to me this time.

It was a good deal, the fan you have is the wrong one, should have 5 rivets like this one. They are expensive because they are the same as big block corvettes, camaros etc.

Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

ok, i'll toss it. i found this combo as well. cheap of course!!! its not round rivets, but it does have the "H" on it and "FRONT" so im happy. the last clutch had K10 on it, but when i had it gold zinc plated i almost cried, cuz the acid dip just killed it.

Actually , its truck only guys. The ones you both have are Passenger car AND Corvette but most Corvette blades are 5 rivet and some but not all Pass are 4 rivet. For truck The hub that bolts to the water pump is larger making the hole in the blade larger, the bolt pattern on the blade to clutch is larger , and the diameter of the clutch is larger. Check post 21 and 33 of this link. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...tch+fan&page=2
Shows an NOS Clutch and the correct 65-68? Truck only fan blade. When I get back Sat I will post measurements .

Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

Sorry guys, the fans you both have will work fine. It's just that this correct stuff to me means something when you're trying to preserve a truck. Had I not joined this website, I never would've known the difference either. But I have learned so much on here and it's challenged me to learn Also.

Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

OK Guys , heres a few different clutch fans. Of the 5 black fan blades there are 4 different styles , two different round rivet and two different flat rivet styles ( there are still a few different blades out there). These are all for Cars , Camaro Chevelle Nova Corvette. Some with 4 rivet which are said to be low performance 283 327 and 325 HP 396. The 5 rivet style is said to be more for Heavy Duty applications and Higher horsepower cars. Theres one or two rare High performance fans I do not have. What these ALL have in common is they are 60-68 Short water pump 18 inch 5 blade fans . There were some of these early round rivet fan blades used on our trucks from 1960-1963 maybe 1964 with AIR Conditioning. These fans were sold as accessories also and could be dealer installed.

The bottom orange fan is the correct 65 66 Factory AC fan blade for trucks. Looks very similar to the one on the top right. The difference being the truck has a larger clutch , larger hub and bolt pattern for the clutch to bolt to the blade. The bolt pattern on the hub to the water pump is the same. The black blades all have a center hole diameter of 2.375 and a hub dia of 2.335 . The Orange truck blade has a hole diameter of 2.625 and a hub diameter of 2.575 . Physically the truck clutch is larger than the Car clutch also. Blade Diameter remains 18 inch. These are all factory Chevrolet blades and clutches with the exception of the top center clutch, some Schweitzer clutches and some Eaton clutches. Of the two bottom clutches next to the orange blade, these are both Eaton but slightly different designs.
