Its easy to make mistakes on pre '69 caps because they all look the same from the front side. Its the back side that is different. You indeed have the 3/4 or 1 ton 8 lug version 8 3/4" opening, I am sure some one else could use those. Good news is your rims are original. Rims on pre '69 1/2 tons came both ways, bump and clip. Just look out for some 10 1/4" back opening caps in the same design. Work looks great.

Finally found a set of 1967 hubcaps! Very nice chromed, they perfectly fit into my 16' wheels with bumps! Just some black paint in the letters and semi-circles and done!

I tried with wheels matching body color, Light Green 503. I put a set of 245/75R16 tires, they closely match in height and profile the 750-16's I had, but they are obviously wider... see how they look...

Cralon. . That really turned out nicely! Especially for you saying this was your first project. I also have the 305 V6 in my 67 gmc. I would like to restore mine to original also. Did you have to rebuild your engine or just pretty it up? It does look pretty nice under the hood also!

Thanks for your comments! Seems you have a great machine too. The engine was in good shape so no major changes at all. I had to repair the carburetor, braking system and in my way to finish with the electricals. Regards and good luck with your project.

Hi 683/4farm, unfortunately I sold it two months ago... but I got it last year at www.hubcaps.com, it seems they have a larger stock of the GMCs for 3/4 ton with clips than the 1/2 ton with bumps I was looking for... good luck with your search!

Hi Oregon, incredibly I found them here in my country in a garage sale for around $150 the 4. They were not in good shape so I went to a metal factory where they did a wonderful chrome job! It was around $50 each. When I had the 3/4 ton for clips, they told me that they could modify them and make them fit into my bump wheels... I did not trust the guys but after seeing the job, I am sure they can. The 3/4 ton for clips I had came from www.hubcaps.com, hopefully you can find some there... good luck!

Although a little tricky acceleration at low speed because of the carb, generally is running great. Sharing some pics of my old truck with you guys!
