Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
@ davbowen- wood laid out...front bed panel to rear sill notch measures in at 77-1/4". Good room for wood movement. Stock boards and strips from Mar-K.

Wheel tub fit is good...needed to drift pin the holes a little to get the bolts in.

Rails are pretty darn good. Less than 1/64 on the yardstick...

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
So the front bed panel, bed sides and wheel tubs are from LMC and the cross sills, bed strips and wood are from Mar-K? Are you using a repop tailgate? If so from LMC? Interested to see how the tail gate lines up width and height? |

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
Out of curiosity how hard do you think it would be to separate the outer from the top/inner of the panels? My bedsides have quite a bit of bondo but I'm not willing to give up the 49 years of original wear and tear on the inside. I'd like to simply replace the outer lower sections of my bed. Thanks

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
Thanks for taking the time to post pics and show details and measurements.
I'm curious as to the fitment where the tail light panels are spot welded to the bedsides. Is it reasonably tight or is there a gap?

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
LMC has free truck freight on orders over $1k. I got free truck freight on mine (bedsides are $600 each) and it was residential delivery.

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
I also got a set from LMC and they are very nice. On one of the bedsides there is a slight gap between the taillight panel and the bedside, but it's not too bad. Only difference I've found is that the holes for the tailgate trunnions have a coarse thread instead of fine.

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
Those of you that have received your bedsides. Are these made by Counterpart? Can someone post pictures of the boxes they were shipped in. Also does the inside panel skin go all the way up to bed rail? Some pictures of the inside panel would be appreciated.

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
They are made in Taiwan, I didn't see any Counterpart stickers or logos on mine.

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
The bed sides that I looked at in Phoenix, Arizona had Counterpart printed on the boxes and also were made in Taiwan. The store owner said he thought that LMC had a supplier making them exclusively for them. I was wanting to know if these are the same as what LMC is selling and just in different boxes?

Im very happy with the fit and finish of these. We have sold quite a few and the customers send me emails saying how nice they are. I have a set in the shop now being boxed up for Oregon and another set headed over seas next week. I think quality is picking up on a lot of the new pieces.....which is nice. |

Re: New 60-66 Bedsides
@Sixty3 I know this post is older, but I am rebuilding my bed from all repop parts as well. I was wondering if you had a photo of your front bed panel to bedsides gap. I feel like mine was closer from this repop panel to the original bedsides. But now it looks a ways off with these repoo bedsides. The front panel is from LMC which I imagine is the same Counterpart brand these bedsides are from Classic Industries. However, this front panel was order in 2013 to go with the orignal bedsides, maybe I need to purchase a new front panel as improvements in tooling have occured over the past five years. Thanks for any help.
