Taking out some of the rust. I should have the front metal back in working order this weekend. I would love to have it all back on. More of the minor engine stuff should be showing up any day and I can pop it and the TH350 back in.

Got a new toy to help clean up small parts. I was vary impressed with how it all worked. I kicked it on for a few hours when I was working on other stuff.

Sorry about that. It's the eastwoods tumbler. I just ran it with the green piramid stuff and a bit of rust desolver. It's really a cool tool and really cut down on the time I would have spent cleaning them.

With a full weekend free of distractions I pulled out a box of parts and set out to get some work done. I had a few of the under hood goodies powder coated by a buddy. Pulled the truck from the back yard and just to see if I like it I shot one of the rims black. I’m thinking I will have them all powder coated black after looking at it.

I would say it was a good weekend. I feel good about the progress. I have some rather big steps to come but it’s all going in the right direction.

Getting this project back on track. Had to hold off as I worked out a title for it. I pulled the old bed I have from a past project to get it ready for paint and a few upgrades. I nasty weather is keeping me from getting pic's for the rest of the work. I have the wiring all worked out and done, engine and trans are ready to go back in. I will be moving in a few months so this truck is a priority to have together.

That looks to be the same unit I got. It's a trooper. I have put a ton of stuff in the one I got. I think I should look into a bigger one.

Wow Erik. Does that truck have any major rust at all? Cab corners and floors in good shape? I see it came from Wy and all but that truck looks really clean. I like where you are going with it too. Short steps are cool.

Both rockers have a few pin holes and the toe board on the pass side has a small spot but this truck was crazy clean. The bed was in bad shape but as luck would have it I saved the the one from my 68 so it will be cleaned up and used. not that the one on the truck could not me saved.

Not much of a update. I cut the top plate off the rear step bumper. It had some rust that was eating away at the top and shifted the plate up. I have not worked out what I will do with it just yet but I have a few ideas kicking around. I also cleaned up the wires under the hood and installed the power brakes upgrade.

I have been slacking on this on. Cooler weather will help me get back on track. But we still hit 102 today!

Long put off project! I’m finally getting a little time to get back to it. With a new job and house comes a long list of excuses as to why I have failed to be more productive. But slow and steady wins the race I guess
