Re: Has anyone used the CPP 500 series steering box?
(direct steering) 14:1 ratio I mean you turn you're there.
In my opinion it's the closest thing you can get to rack and pinion steering. Just google CPP 500 series many articles in many magazines. Get one & enjoy |

Re: Has anyone used the CPP 500 series steering box?
Reviving this from the dead to ask a question. It appears as if the power steering lines are reversed on the CPP box for some reason. Did you guys have trouble with this? CPP states that they use the 11/16 (larger) for the return port. This is backwards from the OEM. The 11/16 is used for the pressure port. Can't call CPP today but will be giving them a call tomorrow.
Did anybody have trouble installing their power steering lines? I am installing this on my 87 that has the oring fittings and I am using the adapters to convert to metric. Battling leaks and through research, looks like the lines are swapped. |

Re: Has anyone used the CPP 500 series steering box?
I tried ordering one from CPP but it was going to be a month and a half wait. Ordered one from Redhead Steering Gear. I have it installed, looks great, can't wait to try it out one day.
