I agree if you have the tires and HP no such thing as overkill.
I like round tube chassis, just had this one built for my next project!!!

Great idea for the "Rolling Chassis" using wood.... alot cheaper than takeoffs protects the brakes and paint doesnt hurt them!!!

Going for a specific look. In high school my truck was slammed on the front, i remember the wheels were kind of tucked into the front fenders. Trying to mimic that look with this one.

Paint, not really a fan of the rat rod look. Chassis powder coat red and black. Body will be black. This truck was on eBay I think, love the paint job on it.
