Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB
Thanks a lot guys!!! Couldnt of done the LS swap without this forum for sure.. I was more nervous about the wood bed then anything. When I bought the truck it had plywood in it lol We done the whole bed ourselves. Had lumber planned, then we cut and routed grooves for sill plates. It isnt perfect by no means but a lot better then plywood and looks clean. I could do it better if i done another one of course.

Did you but a harness, or make one?

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB
I bought the harness from PSI, the harness is awesome. Wiring made very very easy and good quality. I will definitely use PSI again. Very satisified, and wonderful customer service. Ive spoke to them a bunch of times on the phone with questions and theyve always been great.

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB
I used PSI as well. I agree on the customer service part. Every time I had a question, they got right back to me. I just had to send back both the tcm and pcm to them to be reflashed, as there were a few bugs in the programming (no tach or vss signal), but i am confident those issues will get resolved with little problem.
Thanks for the reply! Awesome truck!

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB
Drivability is great! The truck being lowered some and having a rebuilt front end with CPP front and rear sway bars makes it actually handle really really good. The sway bars made a HUGE difference. The LS motor is awesome. I havent figured exact yet on MPGs but I estimated it awhile back when we drove aboout 2.5hrs from home and roughly got 18.5mpg. Which of course is leaps and bounds over the 8-9mpg from the old motor/trans. Having over drive transmission made the biggest I think.. I havent logged as many miles as id like yet though. Having to sort out a transmission problem.

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB
Been awhile since anything been updated on snoopy.. I'm currently in the process of installing a Boyd welding fuel tank in, added some XM radio and figured while I was removing old tank and all I'd throw in some new carpet and add some sound dampening as well. Floor boards have been patched at some time however I'm just gonna roll with it lol can't stand my truck being on stands lol however here are some updated pics.

Re: 1965 Snoopy C10 build, LS2, SWB
It's a fun journey! I really enjoyed it, still enjoying it haha. Drive the truck all the time. It'll be heading back to Florida again this November hopefully with better outcome this time around.
