Thumbs up

Fred stopped by tuesday evening to show me the truck so i asked if he could send some pics--since i'm too stupid to figure out my camera. he did a nice job on his truck and it's got a ton of little modifications. i sent this thread to him so hopefully he'll respond with details, it's also going to be in a future issue of a truck magazine, the photo shoot has already been done.
i'd like to thank Luis for posting the pics for me.

Your more than welcome Jerry.
What are the 3 chrome things in the center? Are they air vents or guages?

Just guessing, could the color be 'candy brandywine'?
I knew a guy that painted a camaro that color, it looks just like it...

I'm going to take a shot at the color, since no one esle knows. It looks like House of Kolor "Candy Brandywine" shot over a silver base.
Post some pics in the paint section, and see what response you get....

Guess all you want about the color the truck is my husband's and all I know is he went in to the guy that painted it with a picture of a vehicle that he had worked on that was in one of the hot rod magazines and asked him if he remember the car and the color he said he did and then they made the color up from there. The thing I love about this truck is that when it's sitting in the sunshine the color changes in so many different ways but the underlying color is the same.

Amen to that ! With the music that is coming out these days all I would need to do is add alittle bit of bass to the sound from the engine and I could have a top 10 hit.

Hey Randy, Thanks for the welcome. The truck is his but the newest project vehicle a 58 Chevy station wagon is going to be mine, I'm hoping that it turns out as nice as truck if not better than it.

Oh, by the way I have been trying to get this truck nominated for truck of the month but I can't post the pics on that thread so I haven't been able to get it in the running.

seats

That's what I'm sayin' my husband was out in the garage for the longest time working out the exact shape he wanted to get the seat around the shifter. He had split seats but the didn't work for the four of us to ride in the truck, me and the two girls and him so he went for the bench seat with adaptations of his own. Almost everything about this truck has been modified in one way or another to suit the look he was going for, of course when he started this project we didn't have kids but now we do so we had to make it "family friendly"

Jeepers...I can't believe I never replied to this thread. That is one of the sweetest trucks I have EVER seen. If mine ever looks half as good, I'll be happy! The custom work is extremely impressive, nothing gaudy, just nice, subtle touches. I'm in love!!

Thanks, I know he put alot of hours in on it , There were many nights I had to serve him dinner in the garage because he was right in the middle of doing something on it and didn't want to stop. You would never be able to tell that this was once an old farm truck from Nebraska. The story of how it started out is quite funny. I think that story is in the upcoming February issue if Classic Trucks but I'm not sure I know pics of the truck are though.
