Yep, that's me in the cartoon!

I think I am going to go the approach of replacing the glass. I will sit and think in the cab, but given the problem is a non-stock window in my way, that should be the first thing I fix before I start cutting up seat brackets and so on, at least I think.

Wouldn't hurt to remove some foam from the seats, that'll be step 2. I'm guessing perhaps buckets sit higher than the bench, but can't say for sure.

From what you said in post#1 yoiur problem seems ( to me ) to be the dark tint band at the top of the windshield. I'd replce the windshield and if only ben in the truck since you did the resto a good pro windshield shop should be able to R & R your windshield without a problem.
