Thanks but I'm not completely satisfied yet. I see little flaws still but think a 3rd coat of texture will solve it. Plus the paint and might even matte clear it.

Man that looks great! One vote for blue here, just to see how original/factory this repair can go.

Yeah Im leaning towards blue. One thing is for sure. I need to make that decision fairly quickly. The texture coat is easily marked up. Unless I wrap it up and keep it stored away safely. Here is the color my truck will be. Just the inside of my door.

Graphite Blue metallic.

What color is the interior? I would match the interior. That came out a lot nicer then the link I was following. I did the foam and now in waiting on the filler.

So the reddish stuff is the Adhesion Promoter?

My truck has a cheap plastic dash cover that's been warped by sun. I've been afraid to remove it, because I don't know if I can stand the horror! May do it this spring, though.

The carpet is gonna be black, with black kick, and pillar etc trim, Bezel is stainless with black. That all is for sure. Im gonna go Black buckets two tone with midnight blue or a lighter shade blue.

yeah I was able to pick that up at auto zone. Like $6.99. To be honest this was a very good dash to begin with. I would like to see how well I could do on a much more damaged dash pad. might have found a new hobby!

Good work on this. Grid, you got a picture of the final product? Will that filler flex at all, like for thermal expansion and during installation? Or does it cure hard like bondo?

Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming. Retired as a factory automation products salesman.
