Then there are the discount codes. I saved an extra around $25.00 PM my last order from Summit Racing just with a discount code Flashed gave me. They also have a very good chat function with very knowledgeable people on the line, and you could even ask them if there is a possibility they can give you a checkout code for discount. Paul Y is the King of finding and knowing he right stuff to buy over here.

Not sure I am the King, Maybe an Earl...Perhaps a Baron....
This is more expensive than the AutoZone one but should help as a comparison http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...mc05/overview/ It says it is for disks but that just means there is extra fluid capacity for the front circuit. P.

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
So here it is! Picked it up on saturday!
Better than I expected,it was a Southern California truck until 06,when he retired he drove it up to Bremerton in Washington, only used for taking yard waste and junk to the dump. It's a 327 and it runs like a Swiss watch! I was lucky enough to be able to have a good look over the truck before it got shipped,so I popped down to a Chevy parts place in Bremerton and picked up a few bits to go back with it. The only serious bit of rust is the passenger side lower fender,so picked up a patch panel for that. The underside of the cab looks pretty good, a bit of surface rust but nothing serious that I could see. As soon as it gets home all the underside will be treated with Aquasteel and schutz. Now I just have to wait 5 weeks until it gets back....... Danny |

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
That cab looks good underneath , and a big back window great start . The amount of guys on this board with c10s in the Uk is increasing by the day . We will all end up having to meet up for a C10 gathering . It may need to be in a year or so as most of us have them in bits .

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
Pleased for you Danny.
Like Martin said, they are picking up on interest, and more importantly, while we are spending money getting them into better condition, they are increasing steadily in value. 5 weeks, 35 days, 840 hours, 50400 minutes........ Need I go on? You will be very happy.

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
So here's the truck on its way back to the UK, just heading down towards the Panama Canal, should be back in the UK (Felixstowe) on the 21st June! 20 days to go...........very very very excited, hopefully get it on the road for the last of the summer. Any one have any idea of the timeframe from MOT to registration arriving? I have all the electrics for the flashers and headlamps/harness ready to go,so looking for an MOT within a couple of weeks of it arriving "home"!

Another C10 in the UK! Congrats Waynesworld, she's a beauty. You guys should apply to open a C10 Club chapter.

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
Danny I know how you feel my bedsides leave Miami on Tuesday 14th . you need to have patience doing an American truck in the UK , as everything takes a while to get here , but it's worth the wait .

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
A quick update! So the truck has arrived on UK soil! Although it's in the wrong port! Hopefully going to pick it up early next week! Yes!! Looking forward to seeing it after a couple of months in transit! Also insured it on the chassis number so I can get it registered and MOT'd,hopefully driving it on the road by next month! the insurance was very cheap, only £137 for the year! In the meantime I've been keeping busy working on the house, and also getting one of my other rides ready for a camping trip this weekend with some friends, took the camper for its MOT (yearly roadworthy test/emissions), the guy doing the emissions check said he had never seen such a clean "big" engine! It's a 360cu in V8, sure beats my mates "Euro" camper vans! And I think it looks better too......

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
Cheap insurance and zero road tax means you have at least £500/$750 per year to write off against running costs.
Any money staying in your pocket makes the truck even sweeter to own. I do love these campers too.

Re: Another one coming back,1965 C10
Burst a tyre as the trailer was not quite wide enough. Solution - fit the thinner spare wheel on the front, get the front on, then move the thin spare to the back and get the back on,bingo!
Also, does anybody know how to post multiple pics in one post with an iPad? Danny |
