Re: 66 to 90 frame swap
Fairly new to this site... Does anyone have advice on putting a 1964 c20 8 foot box on a 70s, 80s, or 90s 4x4 chassis for a swap/conversion? What if I picked up a 1976 3/4 Ton 4x4 8 foot box?

Re: 66 to 90 frame swap
I have a '65 1/2 ton short stepside on an '86 short bed frame it was a lot of fabrication and basically have to either run a body lift or cut the floor of the cab due to the bends and humps of the frame being different. I have 2in drop springs in the front and shackles in the rear with 235/60r15s and it still stands pretty tall.

Re: 66 to 90 frame swap
Yes......keep your '64 frame and just put the 4x4 running gear under that frame.

Re: 66 to 90 frame swap
I'm going to start a thread and create cad drawings with different frames overlayed the 63-66 frame.
