Looks great! Is that a later model factory serpentine setup or aftermarket?

Re: My Story and I'm sticking to it 72 K10
Nice stuff, thanks for posting. I have an NV4500 to go in my 72K20 (purchased in Billings!). Did you move your engine forward to the 2WD position? Or did you go with the TC in a different rearward spot?

But to answer your question I moved the engine crossmember forward 2-1/4 inches . That left me enough room to where I have an 1-1/2 inches between the serp setup and my electric fans . Gives you more room for HEI . Left the transfer case mount where it originally was . I had to redo both shifter holes but that was a cinch |

TCCGRIZ-Thanks, I was looking at your fresh engine picture and it looked like it was moved forward but I wasn't too sure. I can search you tag for any other posts. Thanks again.

Re: My Story and I'm sticking to it 72 K10
Well it is time to get going on the build again .
It has been busy here in Montana , we pick up a couple big projects this summer and now that there going smooth . Also with hunting season and football being done as well as the crazy holidays . Finally getting back out in the shop. Just ordered another batch of parts ,inner fender wells ,core support and new hinges and front end fastners. Also ordered myself the brakequip hydralic flaring tool . This fall I got a heck of a deal on another k20 70 long bed auto 350 with a low end knock . Drove her home and it was tight . Looking to get a crate motor and just drive it. For some reason my pics will not upload from my phone . Will post them when I get a chance at the office Sorry for the book just excited to get going on her again and spend the cold winter weekends in a warm shop . Oh and Happy New Year everyone. |

Re: My Story and I'm sticking to it 72 K10
somehow I missed your original post, I know how you feel about getting started again. I've not touched my truck in months but things always slow down this time of year. You're much better progress than I am. BTW, both of my trucks came out of Anaconda. X2 on the warm shop, it's been colder than usual & windy to boot.
