All original but lowered a little and LED lights. Im also not afraid to drive it anywhere. Just got back from a 150 mile each way drive getting almost 18 mpg
Very cool, and 18 MPG is excellent assuming its a 350 SBC under the hood, so stock exhaust?

Re: Any daily drivers?

I daily drive mine. I have taken it on 1200 mile round trips more than a few times in recent years. Granted, my daily commute might be 5 miles now, but if I need to haul something, distance is not a deterent.

Ours is the stripped model, manual brakes, manual steering not even a dome light or cig lighter. 350 w/EQ heads, Comp Cam, Bowtie high rise steel intake, headers, 3 speed manual & 3.73 in a 12 bolt.

got a 75 model just like yours, except mine has a 250 six in it. its crying to die with over 275k miles. I got tired of standing on the brake pedal with both feet, so I got a vaccum assembly from the local pull a part and put it on. now just touch the pedal will send you through the windshield.

Re: Any daily drivers?

I drive my 1985 Silverado everyday. My commute is not that far but I will stretch its legs every chance I get. In the process of a new engine rebuild and just ordered new 20" wheels and hope to get it a little closer to mother earth soon.

Re: Any daily drivers?

I won't have anything but a square as a daily driver. It sucks up here because WI winters kill 'em. I like to keep a rusty beater Suburban around for winter. Right now I'm driving my '87 GMC R2500 Suburban 454 every day to and from work, about 12 miles each way.

Re: Any daily drivers?

had a 07 gmc I sold a couple months ago and mine has been primary transportation since. 78 miles round trip to work. I did have to get the a/c going when I started driving it daily. Cruises right along 70-75 305/th350c, not sure on gears but they set aren't fun ones.

Re: Any daily drivers?

i have daily driven all my chevy trucks, from a '68 to an '85.
for the last few yrs i was using my '90 k1500 because my square ('85 crew on 38's) is horrible on gas, every 3 days i was putting 50 bucks in it to get to my old job, that stopped after a couple months....now i got a new job in town, less than 5 miles, & i get the pleasure of dailying the crew again. no matter how hard or crappy a day, when we get back to the shop & i see it sitting there...it's like , yup, cool
the '90 has hardly moved in the last 2 months...

Re: Any daily drivers?

I daily drive my 87 R20 Suburban about 70 miles per day to work.
Recently swapped the 454/TH400 for an LQ4/4L80E for the extra power, reliability, and fuel economy.
