You guys should know better, first post by this guy and he's selling something, and to top it off is a set of tow hooks, to me that's a no-no.

I did call silas92 just to confirm who was the first person to email him or pm . I did pm him twice and emailed him early this morning on the tow hooks .
Silas92 has confirmed to me that i was the first to contact him so he sold them to me .
I didn't post anything on the board this morning maybe i should have .
That is his first post so i would give him some slack . If the tow hooks are so damn important then i will pick them up and sell them to the next member in line for the same price plus shipping . Jose

Tow hooks????????????

I am in total agreement with everyone here. Some one "snuck in" (wink wink) and bought them. The stories and times just ain't jiving. Oh well I hope Elvis enjoys his tow hooks on his caddy.

I'm next in line, I'm next! I gotta get me a 4x4 first to put them tow hooks on :p

Good deal Jose, I believe that you should keep those hooks, that new guy didn't know how to deal in the board and he posted his phone number, for those that were interested on them should've called instead of sending pm or replying on the thread.

I don't know but that's how I think, am I wrong?

Much better.

That is a very honorable gesture from Jose and if BBB takes it, well, he earned it.
These new guys that want to be "wheeler-dealers" are a real pain-in-the-butt on the board. They don't know & won't read the rules, then the "smell of the money takes over any sense of integrity".

little confused

I've reread post twice and board rules. This subject still comes up. Doesn't seller have choice whether to monitor phone, PMs' board emails, regular emails or what ever he/she chooses? Why should we have to post our interest in specific part on board? I think the PM system is setup for private contacts, discussions, negotiations, etc. I realize seller above mentioned highest offer which is no-no. Otherwise it looked like he was too busy to monitor post. Jose must have PMed and called to buy tow hooks. I say good score!!

Maybe when a member is accepted onto board they should be asked like any software we install to read fine print and click on OK I agree on board rules and then be emailed copy of rules and any moderator suggestions. Then maybe they can make educated posts. I still think need to post interest on board is un-necessary. I have done it both ways. I also agree PM box is small and cleaning box is a hassle because I am lazy. We also have option to email many members from choice in profile if authorized.

Still learning something new every day!!

nu2-72, I would love to have them, but I am on the hook on e-bay at 250 So I was out. If I win which I haven't checked to see if I am still high bidder, it will be the second set I have for 250 plus shipping. Again the first pair I bought point the same direction and I think that these point opposite. Time will tell. I could get out cheaper if someone has hooks pointing to the passenger side wecould trade one hook and all would be happy.

silas92, I mean no disrespect. As someone that has been on the board awhile, I have seen the quest for tow hooks.
It is sometimes like the gold rush. A frenzy at times.
I also am a seller and a buyer. As a buyer I want items as cheaply as I can get them. As a seller I want the most I can get. (am I alone here)
To be fair and obtain those goals I often check prices before buying or selling.
The last several sets have sold for $200.00 +. In the same post is a set at $250.00 + shipping. They are yours and you set the price. That is your right and I am with you.
The older members instantly saw the rush coming. And there are som many ways to respond that it gets confusing. You have done nothing wrong. I would have priced them a little higher but that is me. (objective 2)
Please do not take this too hard. We are a good bunch of people and usually do the right thing. It is a case of "if it sounds too good to be true, ect.)
If you are happy with the deal then please, lets go on. Jose gets a great deal, no-one loses sleep and we all learn another lesson.
I have been called all kinds of names for working with some people here that someone else though I should not have. It is ultimately my choice as it is yours.
If I offended you, let me appologize here.
To be honest, I wish I had gotten there first. Great deal.

Now I know why some of the veteran sellers on this board specify "reply in this post....first come-first served". It keeps things from getting too confused....and everyone can see who made the first request for the parts.
