Re: Surgery update

Good to get away from the pain meds. Those things are bad. Depression in a bottle is what I call them. Hard to understand about heroin and other narcotic addiction.

Re: Surgery update

Off the pain meds? That IS a big plus! I'm sure there's still pain but, as you know, you're better off without the drugs if you can tolerate it. Sometimes having the pills close by is enough, just knowing you can get relief if you need to.

Re: Surgery update

I just looked and we have been on here within days of the same length of time. That is nine years by the way and I don't remember one rule that says you have to be out banging away in the garage or cruising down the road and taking photos of events that you went to to be one of "US". A comment here, a solid well thought out answer to a question there are as much of being part of the group as posting what you did out in the shop today.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Surgery update

Hang in there Kim. Best of luck to you! Like someone said, you were always the first one to give praise and encouragement. My goal for this year was to get my truck far enough along to drive it around town and I made it. Now time to take care of myself ( and the Mrs. ). She had a hip replacement 4 weeks ago and doing fine. We went for her checkup today and I also had an appointment. I get a new hip in October. Keep the faith. Tbrown

Thanks.
Had my two week check up.
Doctor says everything is looking good.
His physical therapy protocols are very conservative.
Short walks four to five times a day for the next four weeks and then it will get a little more strenuous.
