Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
Beautiful truck. Never seen an original in that good of condition. Also never thought of myself as a purist til I saw this rig, ha. Any thought to putting that long bed in the rafters? I know they are kinda the equivalent of 4 door cars at the moment but that might not always be true. Nice find!

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
That is what is taken out of the bed?, no need to take that much out of the frame. IIRC I only took ~3 off the rear frame. Leaves a little more room for mounting the bumper

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
very nice truck you started with. Hard to find them that nice.
That bolt on kit looks like a great way to go. Is it made from 1/4" plate? Just wondering about the spring hanger getting spaced out that extra bit, if it causes any binding issues?

That makes sense. I should probably educate myself more on this process since I'm converting mine hopefully in the next month!

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
Got quite the looker there!! But I may be biased to 73 and the green/white combo (ours is 73 only marine turquoise though) come by our build thread we've done a neat trailing arm rear suspension on our LWB to SWB conversion

Kyle @c10acres in IG did an amazing job on cutting the longed sides into short bed sides.

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
Does Kyle normally have to sand back that much on the front or was there an issue that popped up?

That looks good. He did some great work. A good painter should be able match that and hide the work...

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
I believe that there was some damage that needed repaired on the front.

That is correct Ken. Kyle ended up using a piece from a different bed side I gave him. Passenger Side was much easier Kyle said. Here is passenger side pic.

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
Very cool truck, love the colors.
Its funny how in about 2004 I got a lot of flack when I shortened my truck using a straight cut. Now there are several kits out that use the straight cut an bolt back together an no one says a word.

Whats being done here is a straight cut but has a significant amount of reinforcement on all sides and extends away from the cut adequately.

Re: 1973 Chevy Cheyenne-Super "Holyugacamoly"
I think this is the first kit (outside of the backhalf kits that Choppin Block has).
