I think the scariest thing that could happen at that speed (besides a tire blowout or debris hitting me from another vehicle) would be a deer or elk deciding to run out in front of me.

That's how it works for me. I'm rolling down the highway at 75 mph and I wonder what would happen if I kicked in the secondaries. Boom, 100 plus on GPS. Common sense then says "slow this ***** down". I never recommend that but you can roll down the highway at 75-80 easy enough and keep up with traffic if you can handle the rpm's. I try to stay around 70 but many times I look down and I'm going 80.

Get up and go and 100mph are completely different things. Gears help with get up and go, but it will hurt the top speed

There's no need to go faster than 70 on a lifted solid axle truck. If you wanna go fast, buy a car or get a 2wd.
