Add to that a set of Canfield heads, and a complete roller valve train. But the madness didn’t stop there.

Wow all put together in only three days! That's a sweet motor . Are you planning on putting it on a dyno? I want to do a similar setup for my truck in a few years, and am curious to see what kind of power it'll put out. If not, do you at least have an estimate of what is should put out? Thanks.

I honestly don’t know the total on the whole project yet, little afraid to add up all the receipts. This was a project that I’ve been dreaming about for many years and have been saving religiously for the past 5 years. Not sure if I am more proud of putting together one of my dream engines or the fact that saved the money up for it. Gave up a lot of stuff over the past 5 years to get this far and got a ways to go on the whole project. 72c10step Like I said above TV magic total engine and trans build was 6 months some of the delays due to parts and some due to personal reasons. I would have liked to dyno’ed it but engine dynos in my area are on short supply and scheduling time is costly and a long waiting list. But really want to get it on a chassis dyno next spring. Using desktop dyno with it set up for street it should be around 625 hp /600 ftlb. It is in the truck and has been run but there is a lot of tweaking to do yet.

Would like to let it hang out in the breeze but to have any hope of passing state inspection IM going to have to cover it up. I’ve been working on some designs for scoops to build my own but it been quite a few years senesce I have done any serous metal or body work.

His engine really was missing, thought it was just a missfire while running.

I have always fit out side the norm, not a lot of people in my area think hot rodding a ¾ ton long bed pick-up is cool but I’m starting to change some opinions and still there are die-hards out there that are sure I’m whacked now. dinnut Its days of hauling and towing are over, and it is time for the fun part. Blue Beard Actually the 292 was missing before I pulled it but after 180,000+ miles on what I believe were original points and wires it was aloud to have a miss every now and then when its wet out.
