Re: need some color opinion before i spray

I don't know about a "1-2-3" as they would come at different times to different people.

But the one on paint technology and then on gun set up are the most important beginner stuff.
Thanks for the kind words.
Here are a few links to a few different sites that have posted a lot of them, you will find one has something another missed so all are good I guess. All I know is I have been honored from the first time someone put something like this on their site with my info, very honored.

Re: need some color opinion before i spray

Thank you guys, especially Brian for the thoughtful input. I think my direction may be a bit confusing. I plan to keep the outside 90% of what you see here. My issue is i did have to do some panel replacement and will try to get that matched the best i can with the original paint.

I've decided the firewall will be the original color once its been shaved.

I'm still undecided on the interior as it was originally a champagne color and i don't like that very much.

I know where you're coming from on this opinion. I had it too for the longest time. Lately I've seen a few trucks that have had the interior done in either a Lexus or Mercedes modern light champagnegold and I was impressed. Not sure I'll do it but I'm considering it. Another thought is a nice modern but mellow silver. Would go pretty nice with your current exterior color.

Best of luck with whatever you choose.

Every time I see photos like that I am reminded about how different other parts of the country are. I once lived like that with acres of fields around me, ahhh but that is a memory. I now live in a track of homes, that land I grew up on, covered with homes.

This is a photo from 1954, there are now hundreds of homes on this property.

Re: need some color opinion before i spray

Brian, I got lucky. My parents lent me their 32x30 garage to work on this thing. I travel all around the south east on nursing contracts. I've really learned what it is to be a weekend warrior. i've been working on it since march and its just now finally coming back together... All i've done is swap to s10 frame and rebuild the top end of a 6.0.

That is one of the 2 options i'm down to. Either match the seat with black accents like door panels.. or gun metal gray and do some tan accents

Go either a Matte finish or patina.
