Re: new 72 c10 swb build
Take a look at Mic Sites truck then give him a call and ask him what it will take to get the truck you are describing in the 7's and he will give you some real world advice in just a few words (probably 3) . I have seen his truck run at Virginia Motorsports Park at 160 MPH and mid 8's with somewhere well north of 600 C.I. I can use that frame and running gear since you wont be needing any of it.

Re: new 72 c10 swb build
pics will be coming as soon as I get the frame back and get home to pick it up. What I am trying to build is something fun to drive daily but also be able to do the power tour and take to autocross trakes. So basically i guess a pro touring truck. My engine builder is Borowski racing engines. Its going to be a 540 dart big m block, callies magnum xl crank, callies i beam rods, diamond pistons, dart pro 1 355 cc heads, crower valve train, comp cams roller cam, holley dominator efi, twin 83 mm bullseye turbos, with n20 interspoolers, a 4l80e, mosier fab 9 with 3.25 gears. Going to do 20x10's up front and 20x12's in the back. so any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: new 72 c10 swb build
that is why I am in the planning stages. Talked to my engine builder today he said we should be able to turn it down to around 1000 to 1200 on the street for daily driving. We will see. I'm starting to wonder if I shouldnt be trying to do something different. As people think I am crazy for wanting to do what I am currently doing. Oh well if we all listened to what everyone else thought we should do we would all be bumbling idiots lol. anyways just trying to get a little help from people that have either done what I am trying to do or something similar so I can try and figure this all out.

" Oh well if we all listened to what everyone else thought we should do we would all be bumbling idiots lol." You asked for advice and was given some sound advice then the next post is you say we would all be idiots if we didn't take others advice. Since I do not qualify as an idiot I will unsubscribe from this post as I am about 2 quarts overfull of BS.

Re: new 72 c10 swb build
I'm out of pocket until later this evening, but will post more pictures when I can.
I have built, more or less , exactly what you are talking about doing, but in a '82 C10 package. |

Re: new 72 c10 swb build
ok sorry for the long delay but finally getting back on this build. real life kind of got in the way for a bit. still doing this build but a little different now. not gonna take this one to the drag strip as i have purchased another vehicle for that. anyways still going to have a twin turbo 540 in it with a rossler 4L80E stage 5 transmission and a pro torque converter. Just got my rims and tires in 20x11 with 29535r20 up front and 20x14 with 29x15x20 in the rear. Motor should be here by middle of december so i can do mock up. so hopefully i can get this done by next year. I will be posting pics of stuff i have already bought for this build once i get back from sema.

LOL You have been called out for trolling a dozen times by other members. Your posts are all imaginary dreams. We can all see this and you are caught out now in your duplicity. Very dramatic ending to fall on your sword with the poor-me routine.
