SEE!!! Everything in Canada is WIERD! Crazy Canadians...

A car called the "Acadian"??? So if you migrate south from Canada to Louisiana does the car's name suddenly change to "Cajun"?

LOL j/k

Another good place to find info on those crazy canadian cars (like the parisienne) is http://www.canadianclassics.com.

A good example is my Pontiac Parsienne, impala frame, suspension and drivetrain, but with the classic Pontiac body styling. Sort of the best of both worlds. (except when it comes to finding body parts)

cobalt, three words for ya ......that, ain't , cool!!! If you opened an atlas, you'd see that there is a whole other world out there that doesn't do things exactly the way americans do. Maybe your versions of chevelles are actually beaumonts...think about that for a while

Did you talk to the owner about prices on parts? (must control urge to buy, gahhhhh! )

Ron
Ron,

There was probably sum parts there worth "Looting" but I wouldn't think u'd want to pay for. There where a few Chrome GMC Grilles but they needed a little work of course. The Owner I think used these trucks when fixing up another local truck for a guy (he's restored a few older vehicles...like the Buick Skylark pictured which is his a believe). I'm not sure what he'd ask price wise on parts but he would obviously part with 'em, he'd be stupid not too.

I didn't talk to the owner cause I was there after hours looking and like to keep a low profile. I don't like getting involved with shop owners unless I actually know I want sumthing (which is the reason for the after hours recon ) from them cause all to often they won't give you the time of day (or Permission) to see what's out there to start with unless you say "I need Such Such". Where' the fun in that? I know it's tresspassing but I'm a pretty honest and trustworthy person, not a vandal etc.

Sorry to ramble on there I can get his number for you if you wanna ask him sum Q's. I have 2 other parts pile pics from my little venture I will post here.

Brian

Could be a trim package? If I go back there I'll get closer pics of the badges...

As for the Longstep not much really but it probably could used as a driver if ya got it running again. I think it had the engine pulled...

Don't worry about it for the moment, I was hoping to find another box, fenders or doors.

I have a great dea guys, ( from Ontario). Looks like we ALL could use some parts. I for one am looking for a cab and box ( rust free as possible and next to impossible to find up here.

Either we get one good load from the U.S. with parts for everyone, ( probably less on shipping that way) or get a hold of Bill ( http://www.billstruckshop.com/
and try and get some kind of quantity price. I know he is pretty fair with his prices in the first place but it might be worth a shot. I just checked his site and he is getting or has gotten more stuff from California this month.

Good idea, bad Idea????

GMC69:

Doesn't sound like a bad idea either way. But (talking out of my a$$) I doubt Bill has a lot of room to discount his parts. That said you never know until you try and it is just before Christmas so he might be willing to make a deal. What I need is a good long box, a chev and gmc tailgate, front fenders, grill for the 72 chev and alot of patch panels. Bonus materials would be a couple of doors for the chev and a right bedside and bed floor. If someone who knows Bill thinks it's worth putting the deal forward, and if the price is right I'd be willing to commit to a purchase, that said it will have to be soon as snowmobile season starts in a month or so and I'll end up spending the money on it I wait much longer.

It might be a a little more practical to bring up a couple of parts trucks from the deep south and break them once we get them up here.

Ron
