Although having more than one is kool, space and money would make me say sell the GMC..or whats left of it....and get the LongHorn rolling! Too bad you are not closer....My daughter could use a truck!!

Wow...of all groups, i figured y'all would support the habit.
I would never sell my driver untill I knew the replacement (longhorn) was dead reliable. That is one thing the GMC has going for it, she's damn nead dependable as gravity.
I would love to keep it, but it needs a TOTAL rodo...every body panel is junk, the engine needs a good rebuild, (getting close to 100,000 hard driven miles, and close to single digit oil PSI at an idle) the whole suspention needs ripped out and replaced, the brakes are more like delayers, steering is a mere suggestion...
Well maybe I am being a bit rough on here here, but y'all get the idea.
But I must say, I have grown quite attached to the 'ole girl. We've been through quite a bit, yeah, I ran over allot of stuff in her. I think I'll be kicking myself in the tailpipe either way I go.
It'll either be "why didn't I sell this thing years ago"...or "Why the h*ll did I get rid of that truck?"
You know...damned if I do, damned if i don't.

andy, there is plenty of these trucks here in the ohio area...at least there is here in the dayton area...get a "FOR SALE " sign put it in the local grocery parking lot and you'll get some calls. take your money and get the longhorn good and reliable....get those tools you been needin'....and a better truck will come along w/ better options and in better condition down the road.do one thing realllly well (one truck)and not half-a$$ both the trucks!! this is only my opinion of course....

Sell it, I'm selling my 2wd for mostly the same reasons you have listed above (money for other things, and i'm tired of it sitting in the yard doing nothing........not that I have a lack of space here, I can park all the trucks I want on 80 acres.

I would wait until you drive the longhorn for a month or 2 before you decide. Personaly, I wouldnt sell it, but once you get the longhorn running, if the gmc doesnt seem interesting anymore, then sell it.

BUXMAN66, Kinda funny that in Dayton these trucks are all over, while just 60 or so miles east, (here) they are not seen all too often.
One thing, I have not seen an original Ohio truck that is any better off than mine, at least my trailing arms are rock solid, and my floor boards are still there and just shy of rock solid.
Even so, with the internet car sales these days, it would be almost moronic to start with a rust belt vehicle for a project onless it is something granny fresh or forgotten in a barn. (IMO)
