Re: Driver Quality Pickup truck Lock Set

Leon,
Silly question time...
My key is basically worn down to nothing, it still seems to work.
Do you have the ability to re-key a set of locks and ignition to a better key?
Basically take a different key that's not worn flat and change the tumblers to match it?
I need your services if that's a possibility!

Yes, I can do that. I can either re-key your cylinders or cut a key to factory specs for your locks.... If the key is that worn the tumblers are probably worn pretty bad too and should be replaced....

Re: Driver Quality Pickup truck Lock Set

I submitted a request for locks on a different thread. Question I have is if the locks I currently have can all be rekeyed to the same? If so, how is the best way to do this? Cost?

Yes, I can key the locks the same as long as the key you have will physically fit into all of the locks. There were four different keyways for the '67-'72 Chevy and GMC trucks and they will not interchange.

You would have to send me the locks you want changed and the key you want them changed to. If you do not have any keys you would have to send me all of the locks. Cost depends on how many locks I would have to change to make a set. Usually runs about $7 per lock + return postage unless they are really nasty inside.

Thanks,
LockDoc

Re: Driver Quality Pickup truck Lock Set

Hi, Leon

Do you have any more matched sets of door and ignition locks? I got a new truck and the door locks don't work.

Driver quality is ok, as the truck is a 20 footer.

Not at this time. I have plenty of door locks but no ignition locks. If you want to send me your ignition key I can key a set of door locks to it for about 13 bucks sent to you.
