Re: Looking into a 69 C10
Awesome truck and deal! I love to hear that there are still some good deals out there. Do yourself a favor and remove the fuel tank for a good cleaning. You don't want any old gas or gunk that has settled at the bottom of the tank to get run thru a good running engine...

Re: Looking into a 69 C10
Yeah I'm about to pull the seat out this week and deep clean and clean the tank up. Previous owner messed with the timing a bit and it was running real rough but once I putt the new cap, plugs and wires on it I straightened the timing out. Runs much better, but need to tackle the passenger side exhaust manifold gaskets without breaking too many bolts off. Didn't get as far as I wanted this weekend but that's okay. Looks better without the topper

Re: Looking into a 69 C10
A little update on it...Got the rallys on it but still waiting on my trim rings and caps, letters put on the grill, and a spare tire mounted up underneath just to get the old holder from swinging around. Started really cleaning the inside and realized i better go with new carpet, so I've been researching the best place to get a good carpet kit at a decent price. Carb goes to get rebuilt tomorrow, and while its gone ill be changing a few gaskets. the seat still has the build sheet under it which is helpful since it sticker in the glovebox is wore. Built in Fremont, CA..Custom sport group, heavy duty shocks and springs all the way around, 3:73 rear, all that. Starting to get attached to it though!
